YA Timeframe
- Students may participate in the Youth Apprenticeship program for one (Level One) or two (Level Two) years.
- Level One and Level Two apprenticeships may begin as early as June 1st upon completion of a student's sophomore year and as late as January of the senior year.
- Students have until August 31 following high school graduation to complete the work hours and related instruction requirements.
Level One
- Junior OR Senior year of high school
- 450 hours of work-based learning MINIMUM
- 2 semesters of related classroom instruction
Level Two
- Junior AND Senior year of high school
- 900 hours of work-based learning MINIMUM
- 4 semesters of related classroom instruction
GPA
There is no minimum GPA requirement, but the student must be on a path to successfully complete high school requirements.
