Gifted and Talented Consortium
According to Wisconsin statute 121.02(1)(t): “Each school board shall provide access to an appropriate program for pupils identified as gifted and talented.” A great diversity exists among learners. The educational community has a responsibility, both legally and ethically, to identify and develop the gifts and talents of children in the areas of intellectual ability, specific academic ability, creativity, artistic ability and leadership. Many schools are struggling to meet these needs. This consortium offers support for those directing the education of students whose needs extend beyond the core curriculum.
Districts that join the CESA 3 Gifted & Talented Consortium receive:
-
Access to 4 Core Student Events
-
G/T Coordinator Network Meetings
-
Access to Virtual Community
-
Additional Grant Activities
Additional G/T Programming:
Supplemental Activities are available as an add-on to Core G/T programming to meet personalized needs of students identified in specific areas.
