Effective communication plays a vital role in education - helping school districts share their story, keeping parents and communities informed, and celebrating the achievements of students and staff. Rob plays an important role in supporting these efforts across CESA 3 and the 31 school districts we proudly serve throughout our region.
Through thoughtful storytelling, strategic communication, and dedicated support, Rob coordinates CESA 3’s communications and helps share the experiences of educators and students through the events, collaborations, and initiatives taking place across our region every day. In addition to supporting districts across the region, Rob also serves directly with the Lancaster Community School District as their Communication and Compliance Director.
Thank you, Rob, for your creativity, professionalism, and commitment to helping schools stay connected and informed. Our region couldn’t tell our story without you! @NSPRA 🙌

Identify - The observer and teacher get a clear picture of the current reality in the classroom. This could be done by recording the class, looking at student work, reviewing assessment data, or some combination of these. With that information, great a goal with the teacher.
Learn - During the learn portion of the coaching cycle, the teacher learns a strategy to use in their room in impact teaching. This is often done with ideas shared by the observing and the teacher having choice on what to implement.
Improve - The teacher tries the new strategy in their classroom. Data is collected on student progress. The teacher and coach can make adjustment as necessary which may include selected a different strategy until the goal is met.
Introducing this cycle to your teachers at the beginning of the year can help you and your teachers have structure and focus as you work to impact instruction. #CESA3 #empoweringeducators #lead

Commit to Valuing Each Other
Committing to valuing each other is essential for any successful team because it builds trust, strengthens relationships, and creates a positive environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and respected. As Jon Gordon shares in his new book, when team members truly value one another, they’re more likely to support, communicate, and collaborate effectively—leading to greater unity, resilience, and shared success. How do you and your team members commit to valuing each other? #CESA3 #empoweringeducators #lead #JonGordon #7commitmentsofagreatteam

1. Push through the challenge
2. Internal variables such as physical health and cognitive functioning are extraneous
3. Suffering and sacrifice are necessary parts of leadership
4. Basic physical health and fitness are luxuries and signs of lesser commitment
5. Emotional challenges, particularly outside of work, are to be stifled or hidden
These are feelings many leaders face. The School Leader's Game Plan by Scott A. Laliberte shares these common thought patterns leaders experience while leading a building or district. These thought patterns cause leaders to NOT be satisfied in their position. Laliberte also shares variables that impact leadership capacity. Reflect on the following as you think about your leadership role.
1. Physical well-being
2. Cognitive functioning and mental clarity
3. Emotional balance and health
4. Motivational clarity
5. Position-specific skills and attributes
You are not alone with the thought patterns you are experiencing. Reflect on how to break through those thought patterns.
