While reading Leading with Intention by Peter M. Dewitt and Michael Nelson, information was shared from "Essential Features of Effective Networks in Education" by Santiago Rincon-Gallardo and Michael Fullen (2016). This included the following eight areas that are essential when creating a learning network.

1. Focusing on ambitious student learning outcomes linked to effective pedagogy

2. Developing strong relationships of trust and internal accountability

3. Continuously

improving practice and systems through cycles of collective inquiry

4. Using deliberate leadership and skilled facilitation within flat power structures

5. Frequently interacting and learning inward

6. Constantly connecting outward to learn from others

7. Forming new partnerships among students, teachers, families, and communities

8. Securing adequate resources to sustain the work

Reflect and think about how we set our teachers up for networking? What guidance to give them to be successful to make the time a learning network?
