Safe and Healthy Schools
Safe and Healthy Schools programming helps build the capacity of southwest Wisconsin public school districts to implement programs that effectively prevent and intervene in alcohol, and other drug abuse and violent behavior among students in order to reduce barriers to learning.
Friendships and dating often begin in school and many teens struggle in unhealthy, sometimes abusive relationships. Research has shown that school-based healthy relationship programs area key strategy to preventing violence against women and girls.
Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
The CESA 3 In-School Workforce Investment Act Program is a federally funded program designed to assist students with long-term academic and occupational career goals. The program assists economically disadvantaged youth, who are enrolled in high school, in becoming self-sufficient by providing educational activities, occupational skills training, and individualized support to achieve secondary school success and post-secondary goals.
